Started Puppies
We offer a started puppy program for those people who want a puppy but want a little more than just a cute ball of fluff to take home.
Started puppies/dogs will be proficient at walking on a leash, and will understand and obey commands such as Sit, Come, Heel, Down, and Leave it. Our started puppy training begins at 8 weeks of age and goes to up to 6 months of age. Started puppies will also be crate trained and schooled not to jump on people. We do our best to socialize the puppies with our children, strangers (to them), loud noises, etc. Puppies are crate trained and will be 95% house broken when they go home. (We can't say 100 % because you have to learn their signals, and they have to learn your schedules, but it is generally a quick transition). We encourage our started puppy families to come out and visit with the puppy (no training will be done with clients before 18 weeks) as much as our schedule allows. We use English Slip Leads and recommend them to all our clients.
Please do not use the lead on a puppy less than 16 weeks of age.

Available Started Puppies: We do on occasion keep a puppy back to potentially add to our line up as a potential breeder, and then later on change our minds. If this happens we have an "unplanned" started puppy.

Currently we have 1 black female started puppy named Mackie ( still early enough to change her name). Her family had an emergency come up and are having to wait until later winter/early next spring to add their puppy. She was born 1/14/24. She has gone thru our started puppy training and can be ready to go home as early as July. (she needs to finish her leash work, but is doing so great other wise) Mackie also has a great retrieving drive and loves to carry.
